what the heck is a jackrabbit wedding?
Jackrabbit Weddings are quick, unique and pain-free. Our wedding ceremonies are a little bit traditional, a little bit courthouse and a little bit Vegas—minus Elvis.
Our clients choose a date and time and then Jackrabbit takes care of the location, decoration and officiating. Show up, get married and get on with it.
Ceremonies can be traditional and legally-binding or ceremonial without all the paperwork. Dealer’s choice. Our hope is Jackrabbit Weddings clients bring a sense of adventure, a few friends and then go run up the bar tab of a lifetime in one of Portland’s many hotspots.

With decades in the wedding industry, we came to realize that modern couples have different priorities and deserve their corner of the market. Jackrabbit Weddings is committed to carving out a new way of thinking about what makes a wedding and how they are supposed to look and feel. Jackrabbit couples are efficient, practical and less concerned with what they are “supposed” to do. We want to offer modern couples a tasteful, fun and intimate setting for their wedding ceremony…without the hefty price tag.

How much does a Jackrabbit Wedding cost?
Jackrabbit Ceremonies range from $1100-1350. Ceremony times are offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 4pm, 6pm, 8pm. Saturday ceremonies are premium with Friday and Sunday standard pricing.
Do we need to get a marriage license first?
If you would like your wedding ceremony to be legally binding, please do bring a marriage certificate. Our officiants are ordained and happy to help. If you are not looking for a legally-binding ceremony then just show up and we can skip the paperwork.
Will there be a reception afterwards?
Jackrabbit Weddings are ceremonies only. Do expect a champagne toast for you and your friends and family but our hope is our clients go out in the community, share their joy and sample the many food and bev options in our beautiful foodie town. Expect patrons around you to join in your happy day!
Can we pick out our flowers and colors?
No, thank you—we’ve got you covered. Jackrabbit often does multiple ceremonies a day so in order to celebrate all equally, we design a unique and tasteful space and you get to just show up, have your socks knocked-off and get married.
How much time do we receive for our ceremony?
Clients are afforded and 1.5 hours for their wedding ceremony. This allows ample time for greetings, photos, ceremony, champagne toast and more photos.
About the Founder
RITA PAOLo
Rita has been in the wedding industry for 20 years and has done every aspect top to bottom. Gown sales, catering, floral design, coordination, full planning, venue management—you name it and shes done it. Jackrabbit Weddings was the brainchild of a few bottles of wine, her Great Dane Jack (she’s the Jack and I’m the rabbit) and a want to do something new and concurrent with modern couples, our changing times and her own whimsical nature.
